A British mercenary named Daniel Burke, who was fighting on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was shot dead by another foreign mercenary. The incident took place in Ukraine, and the motive behind the killing is still under investigation.
"Daniel was unlawfully killed by someone who pretended to be his friend," the conclusion of the investigation stated. It was revealed during the investigation that the British mercenary may have been killed by a mercenary named Nurin, who holds citizenship in Australia and Algeria.
The television channel reports that Nurin was questioned by Ukrainian investigators in September 2023. He admitted to the shooting, claiming it was an accident. However, Nurin has since left Ukraine, and his whereabouts are currently unknown.
Daniel Burke was killed in 2023. The forensic examination determined that the mercenary was shot three times. The 22-year-old British mercenary, Callum Tindal-Draper, who had traveled to Ukraine from Cornwall, expressed his shock at the incident.
